Hi, my name is Triston Hopson and I am the General Manager for your local 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Greater Sacramento franchise. We haul junk from the heart of Sacramento, Davis, Dixon, Carmichael, Woodland, Elk Grove and more!

I started with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in 2010, the day after I finished the Secondary Social Science Teaching Credential Program at California State University Sacramento. I started out as a truck team member while still being an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at American River College. I planned on staying only a short while as a way to pay my student loans off until I found a teaching job in the fall.

Instead of finding a teaching job I found a home with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? During my initial interview with the company I was told they promote from within and that if you are a good worker and have the desire to advance within the company you will have that opportunity. I became a Territory Lead after six months and Operations Manager four months later. I took the opportunity presented to me a year later to take over as Operations Manager for the Greater Santa Cruz 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in addition to keeping my role in Sacramento. Now, I am back in Sacramento as the General Manager for the Greater Sacramento, Sacramento Northeast and Greater Santa Cruz 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise’s.

There are many things I love about this job including; recycling and donating the majority of items we remove from our client’s properties. I also love to learn about our customer’s unique story and circumstances. I am proud that we can help them reclaim some of their space and declutter their lives.
